Abortion is Dirty and Immoral

by Life Research Institute

That’s not just what this pro-lifer says, but what abortion advocates say!  All the following quotes are directly from them.

Let’s see how they would respond to the question, How good are abortionists?

One pro-abortion physician said, “[Abortion is] the DIRTY WORK of our field.  The sad truth is that the PEOPLE WHO MOONLIGHT AT THE CLINICS ARE GRADE-B DOCTORS.  They’re not the cream of the crop.  And it’s not because they’re committed.  IT’S BECAUSE THEY CAN’T FIND STEADY WORK.”1  That is, they failed at medicine and have to resort to doing abortions to make a living.

An abortionist stated, “It’s true that abortion providers are perceived as NOT VERY GOOD DOCTORS–that they have no alternative so they do abortions, THAT THEY CANNOT EARN A LIVING ANY OTHER WAY.”2

Warren Hern, an abortionist, an author of an abortion textbook, and an expert who testified before Congress on abortion said, “Most PHYSICIANS regard abortion as a stigmatized operation done by people WHO ARE OTHERWISE INCOMPETENT AND CAN’T DO ANYTHING ELSE.”3

Lastly, a speaker at a risk-management seminar commented, “. . . ABORTION IS STILL A VERY FRINGE-TYPE PRACTICE.  There aren’t a lot of people who want to get into abortion provision . . . And the ones that we do have applying to us for training often have VERY DODGY histories and backgrounds.  And if you dig deep enough, YOU’LL FIND A DEATH OR TWO or a malpractice suit or a de-registration somewhere along the line.  IT’S VERY DIFFICULT TO GET GOOD DOCTORS that are committed and want to get involved in abortion provision.”4

Let’s see how abortion advocates would respond to the question, What can you say about abortions and abortionists?

One abortionist said, “[Doing abortions] can make you feel bad . . . No matter how pro-choice you are, IT MAKES YOU FEEL LOW.”5

An Ohio medical student stated how most medical students view abortionists: “They do abortions, THEY DON’T DO REAL MEDICINE.”6

A Killing Center administrator commented, “There’s still the shame thing, even among people who are pro-choice . . . We are still seen as DIRTY, even among our own people.”7

Abortionist Julius Butler stated, “[Among abortionists], we’ve had guys DRINKING too much, taking DRUGS, even a suicide or two . . . There have been no studies I know of of the problem, but THE UNWRITTEN KIND OF STATISTICS WE SEE ARE ALARMING.”8

Ron Fitzsimmons, Director of National Coalition of Abortion Providers remarked, “If we see a doctor out there who’s REALLY HURTING WOMEN, it’s incumbent upon us to blow the whistle–no matter what the outcome.  BUT it’s a real choice, because you could end up with someone WORSE–or no doctor at all . . . I understood that abortionist Tommy Tucker had problems at his clinic [Killing Center] but I thought . . . if Tommy leaves, what’s going to happen?  No one is going to be there.”9  That is, a really bad abortionist is better than no abortionist at all.

Commented another abortionist, “I guess I never realized I would find [performing abortions] as unpleasant as I do.  I really don’t enjoy it at all.  It’s not a rewarding thing to do . . . [patients] look at you as an EVIL PERSON who is deliberately putting them through a PAINFUL PROCEDURE.”10

A sixth abortionist said, “In obstetrics and gynecology, the term ABORTIONIST IS still A DIRTY WORD.”11

Yet another abortionist remarked, “[Abortion is] a NASTY, DIRTY, YUKKY thing and I always come home angry.”12

Perhaps the most potent comment of all was made by Kate Michelman, President of National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League.  She later denied saying this, but it had been caught on tape by a reporter.  She said: “We think abortion is a bad thing. No woman wants to have an abortion.”13

That’s what the abortion supporters say.  If you are considering an abortion or would recommend one, don’t take just pro-life’s opinion of whether you should proceed.  Also consider the opinions of abortion advocates.
